when nissan made the car, california didnt have the piss for gas you have now. what you guys get as "premium" 91 is what most of us consider midgrade. The car was designed with 93 octane in mind. you are taking your motor in your hands every time you fill up with midgrade. This is not some strange conjecture or obscure complication, running low octane + boost = death. you might get away with it for a while, because our engines are strong and will live through some minor detonation, but it is a sure recipe for disaster. especially with the summer heat comming, stick to the premium, or stay off the boost, or odds are you will grenade your engine.
