| Of course I care. I don't like paying $3 a gallon any more than you do. I remember buying regular for $0.99 a gallon and filling my Jetta up for $10. Oh no, there has been no hard and fast reason for the drastic rise in price over the past 12 years. That being said, I need gas to drive my cars. I'm not going to buy a moped or an electric car, or start riding my mountain bike to work. If I can't afford gas, I won't drive, or I'll take the bus, or whatever. But thinking you can change things with a boycott is stupid. All the gas companies already know that the public is pissed off about gas prices. You don't need a special event to bring that to their attention. The problem is, they will charge what they can. People/companies/businesses need to buy gas. They'll pay what they have to to get it. Thats not going to change. So go ahead and buy BP fuel and Castrol Oil. Exxon won't care.
