is that it will not be long before a company produces and sells "ethanol-compatible" injectors for "older" cars. As for the performance (independent of injector failure), it will depend on what kind of grade ethanol the companies produce. I grew up in Brazil and I remember the octane of the 95%ethanol being around 96; and it sold for less than 95% gasoline. Fuel effiency was lower than gasoline (mile/gal), but everyone knew ethanol burning cars were faster. And yes there were force-fed cars that were freaking fast. The cost and grade of this "new" fuel will be determined by the economics and greed of producers.
