Message	I perfer an open face helmet. Full face helmets tend to be hot, limited air flow in the car. I also feel that I have a better field of vision with an open face helmet. As for the diff from motorcycle SA to Automotive MA. Automotive are designed for multi impacts ie your head banging around inside a car. Motorcycle helmets are designed for single impact ie your head hitting the ground. For fire protection, that is a function of the liner. A full face helmet is going to be a much better choice if you want the best fire protection. I use a Bell open face helmet for autoX and solo track events, since I don't wear a nomex suit I did not worry about fire resistance in my helmet selection.
