Message Well, saving money is the main reason. I guess you can say I want to learn more too. The Stage 3 IPP engine block I was going to buy is $5600. I am aiming for 500+ whp on pump gas. I always told myself that I wouldn't do engine internals or turbo installation (pulling the engine), but its come to a point where I want to try it. Lots of people tell me that its too hard, etc. The buddy I helped with his boosted civic built his motor, every piece brand new. Money isn't an issue, whether I have to save more for something and whatnot. To give an idea.. this project will take me in the range of 2 years if I save smart.

Stage 3 IPP block - $5600
GT2860R turbos - $2500
Ash SMIC's - $1000
RPS Carbon-carbon - $2700
Shell - <$5000
555cc (I dont plan on upgrading, if I do then I'll just change them, 500+whp should last a few years hehe) - $1000
Ash ECU - $250
B&B catback - $1300
GD tp/dp - $1k?
Doolz - <$500
HKS SSQV - $600
Blitz SBC i-D III - $600
Suspension - <$3k
Koyo or PWR radiator - $400
Stoptech Stage 2 kit - $600

Thats where I plan on going at this point. I was going to buy the engine first and spend a few months putting piece by piece on, making sure its all right. Then turbos, then the shell. Reason why I put less than 5k on shell, cause if I have to buy a car with a bad engine... thats why. I can never decide whether or not to spend the extra and get a vert.. I dont know if I will though.

I hope to start the engine process by this year in the 3rd/4th quarter.
