In Reply To TT manifolds, do I wait for the MS ones? posted by method on March 12, 2006 at 08:05 PM

Message I know some people have had problems with the duprees cracking and so on but how long roughly until the MS ones will be ready to purchase??

about 5ish weeks by my recollection for mass availability. Initial run will be 100 sets, with more to follow as needed. There are several preproduction sets in circulation.

I have been told to 'keep an eye on the forum' as to when they will be out but I have seen other products like this made and tested and then after 6 months or so they are forgotten about or never made...

Well, I can assure you they are coming

sooo I am ready to be flamed for asking this but should I wait?

I'd wait. They will fit and flow well. They will be more durable than a tubular manifold.

Will the price difference be worth it and do they flow better than inconels???

From the data I've seen, they outflow the inconels. Some may argue that it is not entirely apples to apples, because they were tested on different heads, on different days and on different equipment. They will be about $1000 per set.

As Ash mentioned, Jon finally realized his design flaw (imho) and is releasing a new version that doesn't require relocation of the exhaust stud. Not sure when they will be released, but unless he farms out the foundry work, quantities will be limited.
