hey, i was thinking about trying the shockproof in my diff. On my 90 NA, i had a whine that was really annoying, but i was able to get rid of it by using one qt of redline standard 75-90, with about 3/4qt(topped it off) of a bottle of lucas oil stabilizer. While this got rid of the whine, it feels as though it has put a bit of a drag on the diff on colder days since its so freakin thick. Its hard to explain, but it feels like its got less power at the ground, like i turned my diff into a cement mixer. Well anyways, i have read about the shockproof being good in other cars to reduce or eliminate whine. I want something that will keep my diff quiet, while at the same time having a viscosity like that of a standard 75-90 oil. I am just wondering which type i should use (superlight, light, or heavy). I was afraid that if i went with the light or heavy that i might be in the same boat i am now, unless others have experienced differently. Any feedback would be much appreciated. thanks, Tom
