I guess whether or not it is free will or predeterminism depends highly on what side of the situation you are on. As an example: do you think that anything different could have possibly come out of Dean responding to this post? Is it not evident given the past few years of post history that Dean just had a hard-on for stirring up drama on anything that has to do with ASH? I didn't make Dean respond to CollegeBoy's post - that was his free will, and ultimately what becomes my predetermined reality. I have to live with it, deal with it; to him, it obviously gives him pleasure and so the process repeats.
