Message you should find some write-ups on the site about polishing plenums and such. First, I used a wire brush to clean them up...then started sanding. I started with 100 grit...then 220...then jumped to 400 (wet). I should've gone to 600 grit, but I didn't bother since the pipes are hardly seen at all anyway. Then I hit 'em with a buffing wheel (on a bench grinder) and used a pretty versatile buffing compound. Some people use two stages of compounds (one more abrasive than the other)...I just used one.
