| buddy of mine has a Porsche GT2 with a little work done but mostly stock ( so he says, this guy has a stable of fast cars - 11 sec stealth , 12sec supra ). TOnite at the track he runs 11.7 at 125mph. We are crusinig around afterwards, on our way home we decide to do a few pulls. So I am running 22psi w/H20 running him ( 550rwhp at this setup on the dyno )
... the results 1 ) I spin 2nd real bad - he lets up ..i get traction in 3rd
2 ) we are neck and neck .. I shift to 4rth and spin badly at about 100 mph range .. he pulls by about 2 cars
3 ) I get traction and immediately cover the 2 car distance like I was on crack. I actually thought he got off the gas. But then I pulled him by about a car. His response "man, that thing is like a freight train" ~ hopefully he wasn't talking about the weight ... hahaha Still this car was freaking fast .. took me awhile to bring him in. Actually first time I "ran" the car at 22psi. I threw the WI on for safety. Time for me to throw the drag radials on ... and turn up the boost with race gas. It is a very "nervous" feeling having the rear brake loose at 100 mph while shifting to 4rth gear. Never experienced that before.
**** I do not condone street racing. It's dangerous and childess ~ but the Porsche said to me "Z, there is no substitute" --- then I bitch slapped it back to Germany ! ****
