Message	it just seems better to this layman to have it mounted to the floorboard. In a rollover, the force will be to crush the roof, putting downward pressure on the bar. The way you have it setup would give it a side load, rather than be pressing straight down on the floor. I really like how you've hugged the roofline, though. I know my autopower likes to bisect my rearview mirror.
