Message Better late than never, eh Nova crew? ;-)

I was in the VA/MD/DC area week before last for work, and caught up with a bunch of the NoVA hooligans for some twister and charades. Luckily for me, the local Z-chapter had a meeting on a chilly Wednesday night that I was able to attend. I thought I'd win the raffle or 50:50, being the out-of-towner, but no luck. I suppose I did get the "longest distance traveled" for the meet award - big whoop.

First a few shots of the lovely downtown Alexandria area:

When I arrived to the NoVA meet, I saw only one lonely Z32 - parked in a handicap spot no less!

I tooled around the restaurant recognizing absolutely no one. I figured I'd take it upon myself to ask the cute hostess (sorry Hooters-lovers, I didn't take her picture) if she typically works Wednesday nights. She gave me that "are-you-going-to-come-stalk-me-every-Wednesday-night-if-I-say-yes" look, and after acknowledging her concern, she pointed me to the BACK of the restaurant. Sure enough, there was Bernie sitting there at the table.

Before long, a very friendly Jon Paul (300zxquire) came over and greeted me. We began to chat, and came to realize who each other were, as we had talked previously about insulation and beer on the forum and through emails. He went back and sat with two others I thought I recognized. Soon enough, there were peeps and points, but I knew Ashley (TT XTZ) still didn't know who I was. I motioned that I had just called her to nag her to come to the meet, and she gave me the same gazed look as the hostess did earlier in the evening. After some club discussion, we proceeded outside where the REST of the Zs were parked. It was night out, so these aren't the best shots.

Cam's beauty before the incident:

and then there was this cherry white TT:

Parked all by its lonesome was Jon Paul's beast:

and this crew of hooligans:

The next night, we crashed Bernie's garage. Spencer graced us with his presence this time. In the Bernie/Spee duo, the pictures clearly show who does all the work...

When I arrived, Frank (red300zxtt) was getting his car worked on (note, no Spee):

Oh wait, there he is, NEAR the car, chatting with Ashley:

and a little closer:

And again, one last crew picture:

I'm glad a bunch of us were able to get together. It was good to see you guys again and meet the rest of you in person. Till Zcon!
