Maybe a few extra hundred dollars would soften up the situation, although I agree you shouldn't have to pay more since they are his mistakes. I was in your position a few years ago when my car left the body shop, the Stillen door fillers were very wavy, so I talked the shop into re-doing them, I agreed to pay a small fee. I didn't like the bumper alignment, so I removed it and fixed it myself rather than annoying the body shop (which had went above his duties already). I noticed overspray as well, I asked him nicely to fix it, which he did...that took only a few minutes to repair. As for the IC's, maybe you can pull them off yourself and soak them in paint remover? The riveted lip will certainly cause you problems in the future, but I fear there isn't much you can do about that at this point.
