the biggest and most unfortunate learning experience is the kitchen tile... *sigh* it's beautiful but we had absolutely no heat in the house for about 3 months (during the timeframe I was doing the ductwork and such) and it was below 50* IN the house so the thinset never actually set, even after waiting for more than 3 days. The end result is a few tiles that still move and 1/2 the kitchen grout is cracked. =o(.. .. I have to fix it before I put the hardwoods down. My $90 harbor freight tile saw paid itself off.
