Message there is a lot of discussion on when to upgrade the stock bottom end with our cars and i want to know your guys' opinions. i have heard people say it can handle 650rwhp but when i look around at Z1 or other places selling stock rebuilt engines they always advertise to only use these engines with stock turbos and if there is any upgrade with turbos that the forged bottom end is needed. when i look at many people's mod list, any car that is over 450rwhp usually has forged rods and pistons. My Z has GT675RS turbos from Z1 and i am currently about to do a motor rebuild or a motor swap cause of a rod knock. i was looking at purchasing a rebuilt stock motor cause that would save a shit load compared to having my motor rebuilt with forged internals, but i am hopeing to see 575 rwhp or so with race gas and probably 500 with pump and daily driving....what would you guys suggest be the best option keeping a tight budget in mind? can a stock rebuilt motor handle my power safely and reliably?
