:I have now tried Innovate LM1 and LC1, FJO dual channel and PLX 500. :Innovate LM1 - $590 (single sensor) LC1 - $180 :The LM1 is a great unit - big and bulky but perfect for tuning customer cars. With the Aux box you can log other sensors. No aux box required. It supports an additional 6 sensors right out of the box. (not including the EGT and Knock Sensors (making eight total "AUX" inputs). You can even 'reroute' these sensors via the hardware with out having to rewire anything.I used it only to run RPM vs wb. Inovate apparently is the only one that is purely digital thus its supposed to be highly accurate and has a super high refresh rate. PLX offers virtually identical refresh rates... the refresh rate per sec is maybe 5% less then LM1. It's been covered on various websites. My experience is that when the sensor is new it works AWESOME but when the sensor gets slightly old the increase "jitter" makes the graphs hard to figure out. Also the tail pipe adapter is absolutely worthless. LC1 was used with a the laptop only and had similar results as above same on the PLX. It 'slows down'. Mine hasn't slowed at all yet, but I've only used it twice. It's uninstalled each time. : :PLX 500 -$550 (single sensor) :PLX 500 - software is hard to use. the controller is fairly accurate and has relatively smooth graphs but i really want dual channel control. PLX does not support that :( new software was released recently and is MUCH improved. If you add in the M250, you can do DUAL channel monitoring and datalogging. :FJO - $750 ( with 2 bosch sensors ) :FJO dual channel controller - This setup is about as close to perfect as you can get. This is what i like :1. Simple software. Lets you have both channels on the same graph in real time. same cost as the PLX 500 + M250... and you can do both Very easy to see if there is a difference between cly banks. This is a BIG thing for me since most Z's i get have a imbalance issue for one reason or another. 1,000% agreed. DamonZ and I swapped exhausts on the dyno and got very dissimilar readings. We chose the leanest to do our tuning. :2. Very accurate controller :3. Supports both NTK and Bosch sensors - BIG BIG benifit. If you run race gas get the NTK sensors they do not break . Bosch sensors die easily with leaded fuel and get funky after 5 - 10 gallons of leaded fuel that's more of an issue of excessive EGTS. If you can keep your EGTs reasonable, I've heard it's not as big of an issue. Also, those NTK sensors are hard to come by. If you need NTK support, PLX can modify your R500 or Mxxx unit to use them, however, this needs to be done by PLX. :4. Can hook up a display to show leanest bank. :I tune a lot of different cars and the FJO seemed o work the best so far. I have no dealerships for any of these so i have no vested interest. If you add up everything you are getting the FJO is still good value for money, even though its quite pricey IMO. agreed, the PLX with similar features costs roughly the same as the FJO. FJO probably edges out the PLX tho.
