one is trying to clean up the electrical system under the hood, the voltage stabilizer isn't gonna do anything with the Z, individual coil packs are the bomb...and unless an even stronger spark is needed (which it won't do), then no need to add anything under the hood. But the dimming is a sign of someone who put too much in the stereo with out doing the foreground efforts of putting in the cap. But realistically, you don't need that much 'capacity' in a stereo. Personally my 10" clarion is pretty clean sounding without it, and my lights don't dimm at all.
