very little to me, unless they are very high or very low. You'll notice a tire (continental) that has a rep for blowouts and fragile sidewalls still doesnt rate very low at all. Considering the general population doesnt really know shit from shine-o, I certainly dont trust their assessment of tires. Number one rule is you get what you pay for in tires, Michelins cost the most because you get high quality in every department. Every michelin clad car I have driven gripped well, was quiet, and the owners had no beefs with tire wear or wet traction. You can get the same performance from many other tire manufacturers, but you still will pay for it. I am going to buy the eagles as well, seem to offer the same qualkities as the michelins for a bit less, I wont miss the performance difference, assuming there is any, so long as they are quiet at highway speeds.
