doesn't choke as much (higher VE) than one with less/different/worse head work and all, let's call it, "air" plumbing. If it breaths better, it makes more raw/NA horsepower, and won't be able to make as much boost. That's why Seb's car made over 500RWHP at 12psi. Plus, if you look at the latest efficiency (this has been debated 100+ times) curves for the GT28RS turbos, 21-22psi is about where you want to be, not 26+. That makes for the ideal engine/turbo/piping combination. A powerful engine off-boost with a high VE that can make the maximum boost in the efficiency area of the turbo. Less heat, more reliability, and MORE power with LESS boost. SS
