recall was not for a safety reason then it expired after 10 years from the production date. I would think that the car suddenly stalling while driving because the PTU got too hot would be a safety reason, but apparently not to Nissan. This came from Nissan North America too, not just my local dealers! Perhaps the reason some are able to get the recall, is that some dealers are more willing to fudge paperwork or something when turning it into Nissan, to accomodate their customers and do the right thing.
