Nice thing about this forum, we get to vent a little from time to time. I just finished spending Easter Sunday detailing my car. Hopped on to tt.net to relax, then I thought of all the Z went through this week...
First of all, props to those of you who use your Z as a daily driver. I don't know how you do it! I've always defined mine as a hobby car or Sunday driver, happy to drive the beater car to work. Then all of a sudden, a couple of weeks ago, a coworker bought an IS300. Then a second one bought a BMW Z3. Then *someone* at the building I work at believe or not got the new Porsche 911 Turbo, silver!! So I said damn, I can't be rolling into work in my white _______ (can't even bear to mention what it is!). So out came the Z. For the most superficial of reasons, to make me look like a baller next to all these fools in their phat rides. Oh it made me look like baller all right, but at a huge cost: 1. Impossibly steep driveway at a worksite I visited = cracked the paint on my GTZR bumper (spiderwebs!) 2. Took a friend out for lunch = door ding 3. Semi hauling ass on the freeway *two lanes to the right* = chipped window from a flying rock! 4. Someone tried to steal the valve caps on my C5's = couldn't get them off (they're on awkwardly, and tight), but award winning job of scratching previously perfect polished lips. AAAAAARGH! 5. Tree trimmers came at the worksite, blocking entrance to the garage = birdshit all over my car after having to park outside! 6. "Can you pick something up a the supermarket on your way home?" "Sure, babe." = hit and run shopping cart accident on bumper (streaks look great with the spider webs!) Can you believe this all happened in a *week* of daily driving? This experiment is over! I will *happily* drive my white Paseo (there I said it!) to work from now on and leave the Z for weekend cruising. Times like this, I wish I had never ventured far from stock... 
And then I look at the real thing (see sig!) and slap myself :) No way! Thanks for the soapbox, guys. Happy Easter. Arn
