Message i am getting ready to really start getting into my project after the last year of problems, from not having enough money to a serious work injury that has had me side-lined for the past month and a few more months to come to getting a JDM TT motor with a seized cam to getting scammed out of a large sum of money. reguardless, i am starting to gather parts and ideas together.

little introduction, i need to find a capable turbo, i have done my research on this. cost is a factor but not as important as building the perfect set-up. i plan to have a built motor with wiseco pistons, i havent quite decided to spend the extra cash on the Eagle rods or stick with the stock rods, opinions? i havent decided on head work yet...anyways, 500rwhp is a benchmark but i would like to be able to maybe up the ante basically meaning that i want to have more room in my turbos capability. but more importantly than power, this will be a mostly street set-up so i want a quick spooling turbos and very nice steady power band. anyways, here is a list of turbos i have looked into...

sport 500 - very impressive and i like the spool up, but i think i want more power

530BB's - is it worth the extra money for so little extra power. i like the hard spooling BB design but seems very costly for only producing a tad more power than the cheap sport 500 or

Z1's GT525R's - i have seen charts of T28 turbines put into the stock housings and it seems that these are very slow spooling, atleast slower than expected. i dont know how these turbos are built but i know it is the stock housing bored out...Z1 is kinda of vague about the details but they claim that they will produce mid 500whp numbers with race fuel with full set of modifications. more info anyone?

Sport 600's - seems like they would spool slow and there is only 1 dyno chart i have seen but that 1 dyno chart seemed to show that these turbos are VERY impressive. but with only 1 dyno result, can you take that serioud or with a grain of salt?

GT28R - i have heard alot of talk about this particular turbo but it seems to be somewhere near the sport 500 in the power rating. but i do not know much about this turbo, anyone? is this anything like the Ball Bearing turbo that JWT offers named the GT28RS? seems that the GT28RS that JWT offers is more along the lines of the 700BB...?

HKS GT2530's - seems like a good turbo. id like a tad more power but it seems that these or the 530BB's are might best options at this point. i dont like how pricey they are for the kit but like i said, if this is the turbo for me then i will fork out the money to get it done right.

sorry for the long post, as most of you veteran's here can see...i have done quite a bit of research and searching through this particular forum, comparing dyno charts and what not. maybe i am missing a couple of turbos or any suggestions would be awesome.

BTW: love the site, i dont post here often but i do read on a daily basis now that i am injured. great info here!
