Subject	just got off the phone with local Nissan dealer....

Message	hey guys i just got off the phone with my local nissan dealer and im a little disappointed. First off, my ptu recently died so i went in search of a new one. Well i come to find out my 1990 NA Z never had the original PTU and harness replaced and i still have the one that was recalled. So i call nissan and ask them if they will still honor me with a replacement PTU and all the other goods in order to replace my faulty, old PTU and harness. I give them the make and model and vin number. She types everything in and tells me the vin number isnt there. So we go over the vin about 2 more times and nothing. Then she tells me because my Z is so old its not in the system and is not bringing anything up. She puts me on hold and tells me that since nothing came up and it doesnt verify that my car is a nissan manufacted car that they can not do anything about it. Does this sound right? i mean i have the old recalled part sitting in my engine bay... my car is a Nissan ..but yet they refuse to replace the part.... just had to vent thanks -seth
