We can only pump so much fuel from the ground, and considering the rate at which China and other third-world countries are growing, and the geopolitical environment in the Middle East, it would behoove the US's long-term interests to get off fossil fuels asap. Will the US do that? No, not soon enough. Will it eventually bite us in the ass in a gas-shortage, price spike with mile long lines at the pumps? Invariably. Iran is seeking nukes, Hamas is now a legitimate "political party" and Israel is just bold enough to do something about both of them. If/when the M.E. melts down, start buying stock in Exxon/Mobil, they're going to have another banner year like this one, times ten. Which reminds me, I need to buy some stock in Huffy within the next 30 years...
