"looks" and your obvious love of the Z32 notwithstanding. Think of how "good" your dad would feel owning a contemporary new(er) car. And think of the peace of mind he would have as far as maintenance is concerned. Since you indicated that your dad is not an enthusiast per se, and the $25k is not at issue, the G35 is the best and I dare say, the only choice. IMO your input to the decision making process should be something along the lines of "dad, whatever makes you the happiest". On a personal note, my dad died 7 years ago at age 68. I know getting new Surburbans, when he really did not need them made him happy. I'm sure you'll agree that your dad deserves to be happy. G35.
