Message (Sorry for the delete and re-post...I forgot to add some pics)

As some of you may have already seen...I hit a raccoon during some Thursday night spirited driving ("I hit ANOTHER raccoon!"). Here's a better pic of the fascia damage...

I tried to push it out by hand, but it won't budge. If I'm going to fix it...I need to pull off the fascia. But even worse is the exhaust leak. It's coming from the back of the passenger side resonator. The leak is mainly from a crack in the weld where pipe meets resonator...but also around the outer edge, inside lip of the can.

I'm pretty sure that's raccoon blood toward the front of the can...

This sound bothers me MORE than the dented fascia. Have a listen...YUCK! (Please right-click, save as). I'm looking for suggestions on how to repair this. I believe there's some JB Weld kind of stuff for exhausts (temporary fix)...but I should probably go ahead and do a more durable repair. Should I take it to a muffler shop and have them re-weld the seal around where the piping meets the resonator? What about the outer edge of the resonator...would it be OK to weld there in order to seal it up?

OK...despite the damage...I began my suspension install (RS*R springs and KYB GR-2s). I just did the rears today. I'm a slow worker. I need to build some muscle just so I can break bolts loose. The springs/shocks on my Z are OEM...never been replaced...and it has over 146k miles! I began by stripping the rear interior last night...

Then the real fun begins...

All new rubbers thanks to Coz...

I used doug8867's write-up...but I used a scissor style jack instead of 2x4s and buddy to push down. This method turned it into a one man job.

A few pics of my dad's "garage"...
