Message Hey everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know about two events that the Georgia Z Car Club will be having in the near future.

The 1st event will be a Lapping day/Performance driving school on Sunday March 12th at Little Talladega Grand Prix raceway. The Georgia Z Club will have open slots available for this event and all Georgia Z club members, that are new to this event, will be subsidized $80 toward the $190 entry fee (Care to joint for $25). Any non members can still attend the event for the $190, but the fee will go up to $215 on February 19th, so sign up now. The event will be conducted by the RPM SS Performance Safety and Driving School. This is a hands on instructed event with each driver receiving personalised driving instruction from an experienced race car driver with a 1:1 ratio of instructors to students. Each student will be drive their own car with an instructor in the passengers seat giving immediate feedback. The instructor will ride with the student for at least the first two 20 minute sessions before they are allowed to drive their cars "solo" during the following open track sessions. This is a great opportunity to hone your driving skills and stretch your Z's legs. Each person is required to have an SA95 or better helmet. If no helmet is available, rentals will be on hand. Here is a shot of the track:

The 2nd event will be the Walter Mitty races at Road Atlanta starting on April 27th. This is the premier historic race event on the east cost. Cars from all over the world, including some of the most famous race cars ever driven, will be there for display and on track racing. This year the event will be focused on Japanese sports cars, so be prepared for some big showings. Nissan has elected to NOT support this event in favor of a truck event on the same weekend. That's a big shame and shows Nissan's lack of support for the Z and racing in general in the future. This year the Georgia Z club will be taking up Nissan's slack and host the "Datsun" Z coral. We will have a 30' x 50' tent set up and a car coral to park your cars at. There will be on track touring sessions on Saturday and Sunday, so get those cars shinny and sweet.

Let me know if anyone is interested in these events and contact me for details on how to enter.
