Message I bought my Z from a sleazy used car salesman on eBay. I was naive and didn't know Zs well enough to assess it properly before signing the papers and taking it home (to Utah, from Ohio). It wasn't in as good of a condition as described and I overpayed by a couple thousand dollars.

What did I do about it? I looked into what legal options I had and found that there really wasn't much I could do about it in that area. I complained to the dealer and they claimed that the salesman had been fired and that they would not take responsibility for his previous actions. In the end, all I could do was leave negative feedback for the dealer on eBay with instructions for other buyers to contact me about this dealer.

Then, I got over it. I fixed the problems and started modding and maintaining it. It was bone stock when I got itm look at my profile to see what I've done with it in the past nine months. I've now had it for nearly a year and I'm not pissed off any more and I love my car.

Moral of the story: If you did get screwed, you probably won't be able to do anything about it. Assume the worst and be happy when it's not that bad. Read the FAQs and make sure everything is working properly. If stuff is broken, fix it. If you need parts, order them from one of the forum sponsors - they all have good service and will usually have better prices than your local Nissan dealer. If you have questions, search for answers here and post if you can't find your answers in search.

Enjoy your Z.
