sound from her description like it's too good to be true. First you can use the VIN to get as much info about the car. DMV, your own Carfax report, Nissan North America, etc., may also have some info. Do you think the car has 143,000 miles instead of 43,000 miles? If it does, what are you going to do? It sounds pretty beat up regardless of the miles. I've gone through a few throw out bearings so IMO, that's not indicative of a high mileage car. The former driver could have abused her. Second, who diagnosed the mechanical/engine problems? You may want to get a second opinion from an Indy Z mechanic/shop. Good luck.
