On the turbulence, or lack of turbulence, issues to the MAF. I've read about the contrary to what is stated here. MAF sensors are subject to misreading air flows when there's too much turbulence or vibration. Mounting the MAF too close to the turbo (s), or in a way that they're not insulated from the effects of engine vibrations will effect the operation. Since our MAF sensors operate on the effect of air passing over a hot wire, and cooling the wire off, and then an increase in voltage from the ecu to maintain the wire temp. I would see a smooth consistent airflow as being important. I could be wrong, please explain.
