| First of all if the Z was still a 20K+ car right now, instead of the young 18+ Z owners there would be alot of middle aged owners. The young owners have simply replaced the older ones since the price of the car has dropped. Secondly the only reason the same year Honda Accord is the same price as our Z is because of being a Honda. You can drive a shitload of miles without changing it's oil and it will still go. Parts for it are very cheap and maintanance is way low. The reason the price of the Z dropped so much is because people assume the maintanace cost for it would be so high because of being a sports car and what not buyers tend to avoid buying them and sellers have to sell cheap to get rid of them. Also you can't compare a Honda Accord to a Z. It's like comparing apples and oranges. You are comparing a economic box on wheels to a sports car. Another reason on the Accord having better re-sell value is that you can own an Accord with almost having little to no brains at all, but with the Z you have to know how to take care of it or you can end up with alot of maintanance bills. Thirdly, it is clear to everyone that the Nissan 300ZX was the flagship of Nissan at one point. Everyone knows the reason Nissan stopped shipping them to the U.S. so that is no mistery. It wasn't because the Z wasn't a good car. Now the matter on if the 350Z is better than the 300ZX is dependable on people's oppinion. I personally think the 350Z is a decent car and a bang for the buck, however, it is a cheaply mass produced sports car and feels like it was put together with glue and duct tape and can fall apart after some years of use. Let's let the 350Z age as much as the 300ZX has then we can decide if Nissan made a better car than the 300ZX. Now my last point...who gives a fuck if the price on the Z has dropped? I personally think it is pretty outrageous how a 10+ year old sports car that a 16 year is capable of buying can be tuned and upgraded to hang with 50K+ sports cars. Also it is pretty funny to look at people's face when you tell them that this great looking of a car is not that expensive to buy. Buy a Z if you like it. Don't buy it thinking you can make a profit from it in the future by letting it become rare.
