Message turbos.

It has a 49.19mm inducer/71mm exducer. So it IS a very large turbo. I talked to a guy that used it on his 1.8T golf (he previously had the GT28RS .64) and upgraded to the GT2871R-1, He said the lag was very minimal. Since the exhaust turbine is the same .64 a/r 76 trim.

It is only the actual physical size/weight of the compressor wheel that will cause more lag.

Although, When the Z32 3.0 liter motor is plotted on the compressor map. They do seem to be laggy, causing some compressor "bark" due to the large size of the wheel itself, but when fully spooled, it will be very fun! The surge point is not as broad as the GT28RS, which is more friendly for 'street use', BUT lag is very overatted. When looking at a dyno chart a turbo may seem very laggy, but in actual street driving it is not even really noticed.

I am going with forged rods (for lightness, Ti-retainers, forged pistons, mike smith manifolds, porting on heads etc.) So these things will help alieviate the 'lag' that these snails will have.

I know in all, I will be very happy with them. I have been doing alot of research on them lately and they seem to suit my needs to the TEE!

I will also have n20 for the times when I cannot afford any 'lag' (drag strip etc).

Keep in touch with your progress and I will for you.

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
