Here's another suggestion - not sure (Greg/Damon) how much of a technical web issue this would be to implement?: Allow only Auto FAQ authors to post new threads to the locked posting. Have any msgs posted by them labeled as: Post Update by Author (or something similiar). Would be a way for lost links to be fixed, sometimes there are updates/improvements we'd like to pass along, etc. I do realize we can re-post the msg as a new thread and ask everyone to VTF again. Seems a bit cumbersome? My 2 cents (while waiting for my Xmas turkey to come out of the oven)...
