Message	mount it above the air vent, cut a hole, i mounted mine there, and the sound quality is excellent, i am running 1" tweeters there and a 6" mid in the dor, the sound is blocked by feet, you can def. tell when you move your feet around, but the tweeter quality is great, no complaints for me, by the way they are boston acoustics...
