Message Well, this is a very tough decision on my part. I am stationed in Japan with the Navy. I own a 1992 JDM Z32 Stage III. It is an auto transmission. Anyway, today I saw a 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 manual tranny for sale. It is going for $9,100. The original price was 11,000 but he dropped it. I bought my Z for $3,000 and have put about $4,500 into it. I can't bring my Z back to the states with me because it isn't on the list of eligible vehicles for importation. The Skyline is however. It is hard to sell cars for very much on base out here. The most I'll be able to get for ym Z is between $5,000-$6,000. I think I can talk to Skyline owner down to $8,000-$8,500. It is almost totally stock but has had regular maintanence done to it including the timing belt. It does have an APEXi cat back exhaust and some NISMO 17" rims. Right now I am throwing money into my Z but I won't be able to take it back with me and I will have to sell it in 2 years so any cash I throw into it will be considered a loss. I could keep the Skyline for these 2 years as well as bring it back with me. The Navy will ship it for free as long as I get a contract set up with a registered importer. It would probably cost around $10,000 to get it back. I love my Z but I would love to have a GT-R that I could bring back stateside. I think the GT-R would be a better investment but the Z would be more fun. I'm at a loss. I know you guys are partial to the Z but what do you guys think would be the best decision here?
