Dude, get whatever car you want...PERIOD The Z is a great car and the sooner you get it the better...By the time you get a beater and have experience under your belt, the 90-96 Z's will have more mileage on them and I'm a big fan of starting kids early.. I got a 68 firebird for my first car and went to a 79 280ZX 2+2 and never had an accident or killed myself or anyone else..I still had fun in the car had a four seater(technically) and owned a Z since then and kept upgrading. . Just know a couple things and you'll be fine:(1) they are horrible in snow, rain, etc.) be very careful and drive the beater if possible(2)have monies for maintenance- there will be issues but the N/A is a great daily driver and I have used it as a dd for the past 15 years and have had little issues. Take good care of your Z and treat it with respect or you will be in an accident or worse.(3)PM--preventive maint-keep up with the oil changes, timing belt, alignments, etc.(4)know what you are buying and take someone with Z knowledge to checkout your perspective Z(5)Have fun without risking your life or someone elses....good luck..
