But that's how Boeing and most air frame companies are getting more range out of the same platforms... Infact, most airframe companies recently have added a weight reduction group. I've got quite a few friend doing that at Gulfstream. So it does help... :Seems like it would be a good idea if you didn't lose too much strength on the car; really drop the weight. Have the roll cage be you "backbone" and the body panels, etc just to hold teh shape :-) that's what it looks like he did with the floor pan and the door sills... again, a really fantastic example of a racing Z32 built for a purpose.
