Message	its function is to make sure there is a nice hot spark at high RPM - hence the power gains. So I guess indirectly it does increase power. here is some reading material and an alternative, Kenne Bell, I think Kuah(SPL Parts) uses and sells them. They are also about 200.00 dollars cheaper...
