Basically, Cadillac puts up their cars against other cars in its class to give you an idea of what their cars are like. It was a ton of fun to drive all the cars (even the Escalade as much as I hate SUVs). The Caddy's were pretty nice (about the middle of the line between all the cars IMO) but man the Lexus LS430 was NICE! Easily the best car out there among all the Caddys, BMW 540i, Jag S-type, and a couple of MB's that I dont remember the designations of (never been a big fan of Benz). During my last test run I drove the 540i and knocked down a corner of cones (BMW's fault, btw. ;) The brakes sucked). When you do this they punch a hole in your name tag and if you get two you're done for the day. Anyway, the a-hole of a course worker calls in and decides that I knocked over too many cones and tells the rep to punch in two in my tag (probably mad that I made him work :). I walk off over to the autocross area where you get to autocross a Catera and compete against the editor's time. If you beat his time you get a free t-shirt. Well I, of course, thinking that I could do better than any magazine editor (and wanting a free t-shirt) pull off my name tag and hold it in my hand and make sure that the rep can see that I at least have a tag. By this time they arent keeping close tabs so the rep lets me drive. I end up not only beating the editor's time but I get the best guest time of the day! Woohoo! Free t-shirt! ;) All in all, it was a very fun event and I highly recommend any of the 'Motor Trend Challenges' that you have an opportunity to partake in. Free food and drinks and plenty of cars to drive!
