Message still comes with the .86 turbine housing standard. I wouldn't be surprised to see that change soon. Even harder to understand why someone would pay considerably more for that kit than some of the others I know of, considering the differences in performance. The .64 offers a huge benefit in spool-up and doesn't sacrifice you much on top end. We were selling the same turbo as the Sport 700 for a few months when we first started selling the Disco P but quickly changed them all to the .64 housing that we now offer in our GT675RS kit. We are intalling these turbos left and right in our shop with nothing but satisfactory results. Its basically a HKS 2530 for a lot less.

Add a small safe 60 wet shot of NOS to the mix and you have dominant power. As an example, we built a car for a customer in Massachusetts and tuned it last week with some nice results. Z1 Stage 2 motor, stock manifolds (ported at Z1), and our GT675RS turbos (same as Dee's in a bolt on kit).

Look at this powerband! With a built motor and a very conservative timing map, the relatively small wet shot is practically harmeless. The car has less mods than Dee's (stock manifolds & piping) and doesn't make much more peak power but the area underneath the curve crushes most Z32 dyno charts I've seen. It doesn't make as much peak power for several reasons including less aggressive timing, and it doesn't have the additional mods that allow it to breath better on the very top end. Its just a 60 shot but the difference it makes in getting things going is impressive, around 200 more ft-lb torque at 4k rpm as compared to Dee's top run with the larger piping and intercoolers (SAE corrected). The usable powerband is spectacular. A few pulls on the 1/2 mile long straight on the 4 lane in our front yard sold me on the effectiveness of the set-up.

Congratulations Ash and Dee for the hard work, great numbers, and the even more important data to help everyone make better decisions. I'm anxious to see the difference with larger TBs. Mike Vale's car made a little over 700 rwhp with the larger intercooler piping and throttle bodies on basically the same turbos (2530's). We are going to be able to create quite a library of dyno charts for these turbos with differerent mods. We are building several cars with considerably more mods than the one discussed above that also include NOS, so I'm looking forward to driving some very responsive 700+ hp cars very soon.
