| However mentioning carbon fiber is just a well known no-no around these parts. Anything that could possibly associate a Z owner with a normal "rice" type import is forbidden. In the eyes of some it reduces the value of the Z. I have a carbon fiber hood as well because I liked the look on my black car. I also bought it for cooling effects and those were noteable by a few degrees, nothing spectacular however. I have to let people here know however that I wouldnt recommend purchasing one. I have had mine for about two years now. I have noticed many imperfections over time, as if the CF has settled and made pockets under the clear. I bought VIS because supposedly it is of the higher quality. After two years I will soon be going back to stock for those reasons however. Hopefully you dont find the same problems with your hood, good luck with the project.
