into the coolant, however if you saw this stuff and the thickness of the first few gallons removed you'd know right away it wasn't oil. Plus the coolant didn't turn brown until after I added the stop leak, so I kind of put 2 and 2 together as to the cause. Oil also doesn't "dry" and stick to the inside of the hoses and other places since oil and water don't mix well, but tends to "float in the liquid so you can see a difference.
