| Short story( dyno print out to come later with more details of today ) Dyno 640rwhp @ 1.8bar ( 26psi )11.5 a/f ratio (conservative )on vp 110 no water injection ( didn't use ) on Stillen intercoolers. Tommorrow - will test fit Ashspec intercoolers and 2.5inch piping and re-dyno on Tuesday on new setup. Car runs pretty good - 23 dyno pulls today - oil pressure was real solid at 90-105 cold , 60psi @ 3k rpm and EGT's never climbed higher than 800 degrees celsius ( I think that was the unit of measure ). Ash said could have gotten another 40rwhp easy with the normal 12:1 a/f for race gas - but he wanted to be a little conservative given the cool weather and the fact that in the summer it gets up to 90 degrees here in Delaware. The data logging piece worked like a charm. Ash measured the air pressure and air temperature after the turbo before the intercooler and after the intercooler before the plenum. That is one reason why we didn't run the water injection so that consistent good data could be taken. Essentially, we will be able to tell a few things 1 ) build a gt28rs compressor map ( a mute point now actually )
2 ) plot the limits of the stillen intercooler
3 ) speak to the benefits of the ash spec piping and intercooler
4 ) plot volumetric effieciency
plus whatever else I may be forgeting... Let me just say ( head up ass ) the the Zemulator was a marvel to watch in action datalog all the extra data. Pretty impressive. I think Ash will create his own post soon that will detail the dyno chart pre and post ash spec intercooler and piping and speak to the details of the a/f curve and timing maps like he has done recently. Stay tuned.
