| FMICs are problematic. Poor cooling air to radiator Intakes behind FMIC draw in hot air Intakes on the sides require dual MAS setup (+ AFC) Most FMICs have insufficient room for sidemount located filters Most FMICs are cross-flowing, which eliminates the natural cross-over in the plenum, which helps to maintain airflow balance between the two banks of cylinders FMICs usually aren't just a "bolt on" affair Far too many drawbacks IMHO... Search will reveal a lot more info.. These are just the cliffnotes.
