Message your ECUs...

I've seen people have good results... and I've seen people have shitting results... But to be honest, 9 times out of ten, when I see/hear about one of your ECUs it is CRAZY lean in just the wrong place...

All the comparison Dyno graphs you posted make your ECUs look ridiculously lean... and some of them the Dyno's were quite pathetic... especially that Stage5 w/ 555 Injectors... my Stage III+ on 370s and Stock turbos almost put down more power than that thing with the JWT ECU and PISS rich with no fuel adjustments... Anyway, I don't like to get into a pissing match like this, and I still won't... but I will post my personal opinion...

Personally, I think you're a rather intelligent guy, but I wouldn't run your ECU in my Z if someone paid me... sorry man, I just don't have the faith in your ECUs.

For one, if I blew my engine because I miss tuned it thats one thing... if you tuned my ECU and I blew it then what? You're obviously not going to warranty anything or take responsibility... No thanks... I don't even want to think about such a situation. And I know JWT wouldn't do anything for a customer either... but there is far less chance of blowing the engine on one of their standard tunes... I'll stick with JWT and personal tuning.

I applaud your efforts and your intelligence... the data you post and obvioulsy know something about is rather impressive, but its still all greek to me and all I see to back it up is modest HP improvements and rather lean conditions in most examples... your other products are rather innovation, and your personal engine build is quite impressive... you are a creative fabricator... but put some more R&D behind your ECU before you really start pissing matches like this trying to tout your product as being better than a companies that has put a LOT of R&D money into a product. I'm not saying that the JWT ECU is perfect... we all know its a little rich... but I'd rather a mildly rich tune that will work in everyone's Z to a dangerously lean one that will work in most, but not in some.

And as far as your comment as to having "numbers of engines blown on JWT Tunes"... even if you have "numbers" of some sort... they had better be a RIDICULOUS NUMBER... because even if you're EVEN at this point... you're way behind... even if they're not close, but in a similar ball park... you're still behind. There are SHEER NUMBER differences here. Even if JWT has blown say, a HUNDRED engines... so what... they've sold what... maybe twenty thousand (20,000) eproms or some crazy number? So they're at a 0.5% ratio of failures... and I'm sure those numbers are crazy out of proportion... and how many ECUs have you sold? 1000 maybe? 2000? Have many people have blown an engine or had other engine related problems on one of your tunes? 1? 5? 10? If you've blown more than 10 engines per 2000 ECUs you're already at a break even on my odd ball numbers, but at a much quicker rate...

Obviously I have no idea whether these numbers are even close... but I've already seen at least 3 posts in this thread of people having problems with engines that had your ECU installed... so whatever the number sold, you're off to a bad start... =( A good product has been tested and shown to have good reliability BEFORE its released to the public... not after. =(

I don't ever try and turn people away from your product, nor do I ever bad talk your products (most of them I actually recommend, short of your ECUs)... But I still wouldn't personally use your ECU if you paid me. =(

Night Peeps...
