| I assume we're talking about full coverage, not just minimum stuff. The 1990 models did not have air bags - they were optional in 1991 and standard from 1992 onward. Air bags are a big part of the 'safety equipment' you mention. Your premiums could be more by several tens of dollars per month: mine were about $25 per month higher.... The Z32 is also more expen$ive to repair - body parts are almost as much as a Mercedes, and 'Vette body parts are cheaper. That affects collision premiums significantly. BTW: DRL's don't affect premiums, although GM would tell you otherwise. There's no definitive study evidence that they reduce collision likelihood. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety even judged the first generation to be a safety HAZARD, as they cast light into the eyes of oncoming drivers, and made GM change. GM bet on the wrong horse on these puppies, and when they proposed to the Feds that DRL's be made mandatory, they were turned down flat. Think about it: if it were a safety improvement, then why didn't other car manufacturers adopt them across the board? (my favorite non-safety safety debate!) Hope this helps! Tom Bell IZCC 2802
