Message I agree with you that any car that has undergone significant modification will present its own issues and challenges. We weren't discussing that though AFAIK.

if a car is untuned (or tuned like shit) even at LOW boost levels...problems will happen and det will happen. i had zero clue as to where my A/F was, and just because i was topping out at say 12psi (on larger turbos) doesnt mean i am safe.

If a car is untuned, you have greater chance of hurting the engine at higher boost levels, not 12psi. I have touched on this fact here a couple of times already in these exchanges, but you haven't grasped the concept yet. At these low boost levels, even with upgraded turbos, you aren't going to be making power levels that go beyond the scope of the JWT program. It will be able to operate the engine within a safe margin and if you do have a problem, it wont be related to the ECU program at all. I am sure you would agree with me that it was not the JWT ECU that was the source of your bearing failure.

You have made your conclusion based solely on the idea that the engine was not properly tuned, yet, what you aren't seeing is the fact that it isn't necessary to do so if you were only running 12psi of boost. The fact that only one bearing let loose in your engine clearly sets that one cylinder apart from the rest in a very distinct way - there is no arguing about that. So my question is, why did only that one bearing fail miserably?
