(or take a snapshop) of an engine at a certain load, RPM, etc. and hold it there to fine tune it. But I don't think (Think is the optimal word here, I'm not positive) they produce the same numbers (higher) than a dynojet. Like Guapo said, they are really good for tuning, but less then that for putting out peak numbers...thus my suggestion to use it as a tuning aid and not a definitive guage of how your car will perform (as evidenced by my experience over the weekend).
