1-2K mile increase in load as you put more miles on the engine. I know there are two almost diametrically appossed (I have no idea if either of those words are spelled correctly, nor what they mean) schools for breaking in a high performance engine, both being backed by very knowledgeable engine builders. I've found no down sides to the longer more patient and tedious process, except the time before I can put the power to the ground. But with a few engines behind me with this method (with very positive results), I am breaking in my new SpecialtyZ project in this manner. It tests my patience and self-control, but seems to have paid off. I also know that the "other" more aggressive method as outlined by Russell has netted positive results in the performance arena. So I guess you do what you are most comfortable with, after getting feedback from experts in the field. How's that for sitting on the fence? Good luck, Mark
