Subject	Dyno Update - could have been scarry !

Message	Short Story - no dyno numbers --go to the dyno yesterday .. irregular boost --no problem,we can fix that for the dyno tomorrow. So Ash tunes 3 other cars. Last night - we get the car in the garage and look the car over and Ash notices a slight sound that he doesnt like. On a whim he drops the oil pan to look at the main and rod bearings. Rod bearing # 4 is toast - split in half !!!! .. So we order new clevite bearings and we will put the car together tomorrow and maybe hit the dyno on saturday. But we won't be able to complete the work we wanted to do unfortunately. Got to get Ash home for Halloween for his family. THe good news is that he will be back right after halloween to finish the job. I really wanted to dyno and see what the numbers would be but Ash said that he didn't think it was wise with what he was hearing and "overrid" my decision. I am so glad I listened - he saved me a short block !!! Fortunately, the crank is still in good shape. We will be replacing all rod bearings tomorrow. Well, he will be back next week and we will get the dyno for two more days ( dnk which ones yet ) and the good news is that he will be attending the 11/5 EZCA meet at Concordville Nissan. FYI - the "untuned" dyno run produced "about" 470rwhp @ 15 psi ...I say about because the AWD at the time had some "issues" with the two wheel setup and that number is with the correction factor applied =============Sig begins here================ " .. going back and forth with you on a stupid point is like watching a retarded kid double dribble in basketball, you get tired of calling foul all day" ...
